This excursion from Naples to Campi Flegrei will begin with a private driver pick-up from your hotel/apartment in Naples (or other central location) with a VAN.
You will discover the beauty of a city full of fascinating myth. You will see the ancient monuments whose legends inspired Homer and Virgil and will learn why they call this volcanic region the Land of Fire.
You will first visit the Solfatara in Pozzuoli, a volcanic crater where we will see its impressive columns of volcanic smoke.
You then go to Flavio’s Amphitheatre, Puteoli’s impressively preserved remnant of Imperial Rome. Here you will explore the extraordinary network of underground tunnels.
At the city center of Serapi you will admire the wonderful marble craftsmanship of the Temple of Serapis, the symbol of the city.
Pass through the majestic Arco Felice, an ancient archway which connected Naples to Rome. According to legend, those who pass through and kiss their lover will be happy for all their life.
We then drive to the ruins of Acropolis of Cumae to uncover the myths and legends of Sibyl’s Cave and the Temples of Jupiter and Apollo.
After the tour your private car will take you back to your hotel in Naples crossing roads with spectacular views.
